Inside Melaleuca’s Culture of Growth and Opportunity: Highlights from the 2025 Career Fair

Opportunity filled the air at Melaleuca’s 2025 Career Fair. The two-day event reaffirmed the company’s commitment to helping Team Members grow personally and professionally.

Held at Melaleuca Global Headquarters in Idaho Falls and at the Melaleuca call center in Rexburg, Idaho, the fair brought hiring managers, Team Members, and prospective candidates together to explore the career paths available within the Melaleuca family.

Hundreds attended, representing every major department, from marketing and IT to accounting, manufacturing, operations, and more. The enthusiasm carried beyond the event, sparking applications, interviews, and new connections across departments.

The career fair created real momentum across the company. Many left with a clearer vision for their next step. For example, four Team Members from customer care and manufacturing learned about the entry-level openings on the Research and Development team. Two of them are now interviewing for those jobs, a move that could launch their careers in new and exciting directions.

A Legacy of Growth and Opportunity

Melaleuca Team Members connect with hiring managers during the 2025 Career Fair. The event highlighted career paths and the company’s culture of promoting from within.

Stories like these reflect a larger truth about Melaleuca: “Promote-from-within” is a defining part of life at Melaleuca. In 2024 alone, 321 Team Members celebrated internal promotions and another 178 have already advanced into new roles this year, with many more expected before year’s end.

Many Team Members advance each year through development programs, mentorship, and hands-on experience. From manufacturing and fulfillment to customer service and executive functions, Team Members grow into careers they never imagined.

As a result, Melaleuca Team Members stay an average of 8.7 years, which is more than twice as long as the typical U.S. worker, whose median tenure is 3.9 years, based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

An example of Melaleuca’s promote-from-within culture is Michelle Suarez, who was recently promoted to Regional Manager for the Coaching and Leadership Development Team. She started with Melaleuca in April 2022 as a Spanish-speaking Customer Service Representative, and her strong performance and adaptability have earned her six internal promotions in less than three years.

When Talent Meets Opportunity

One powerful story of the career fair’s impact is Kay-Lynn Parson, now a Marketing Category Assistant on Melaleuca’s Personal Care and Beauty Products team. While attending college, she worked on the phones at Melaleuca’s Rexburg call center. After participating in last year’s career fair, she met leaders from Melaleuca’s marketing department, interviewed, and soon received an offer to join the team at headquarters.

“The career fair gave me the exposure I needed to move forward,” Parson said. “It opened the door for me to meet department leaders and show them who I am. There are so many paths available at Melaleuca, and the fair helped me step into a full-time role doing a job I truly love.”

From the career fair to the marketing floor: Kay-Lynn Parson (right) says Melaleuca’s internal opportunities helped her grow from student to professional.

In an era when many companies rely heavily on external hiring, Melaleuca’s decision to host a career fair focused on internal opportunity is a standout commitment. While internal career fairs are gaining recognition as tools for talent retention, they’re not common nationwide.

Beyond the event itself, the career fair reflected something deeper about Melaleuca: a culture that drives growth and keeps Team Members thriving year after year.

What Is Melaleuca’s Culture?

Melaleuca’s culture is built on trust, growth, and accountability. It’s a workplace defined by opportunity, and where loyalty is rewarded, teamwork is natural, and hard work leads to advancement. Melaleuca’s company culture values long-term commitment, integrity, and innovation, creating an environment where people take pride in their work and find genuine fulfillment in helping others succeed.

“At Melaleuca, you really feel like your work matters,” said Heidi Weiers, Senior Marketing Operations Manager. “We’re surrounded by people who care about doing things right and helping others. It’s motivating to be part of a company that lives its mission every day.”

Heidi Weiers accepts the Melaleuca Spirit Award for performing outstanding community service from Executive Chairman Frank VanderSloot, CEO Jerry Felton and President Cole Clinger.

That sense of purpose is matched by a down-to-earth atmosphere that keeps things real.

“You won’t find a bunch of big egos here,” said Todd Cadwallader, International Workforce Manager, with a laugh. “People are friendly and hardworking. We joke around, we help each other out, and it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming to in the morning.”

Others point to the sense of teamwork that defines daily life at Melaleuca.

“What makes Melaleuca such a great place to work? The people! Whether it’s my team, managers, or other departments, everyone is willing to work together to help get daily tasks done,” said Tyler Lindstrom, Supply Chain Analyst in the Forecasting & Planning department. “Even better, most are great friends that will have my back when I need it most.”

And for those eager to take on more, Melaleuca offers the kind of responsibility that helps people grow quickly. “I’ve been stretched here in all the right ways,” Lindstrom added. “One benefit of working at Melaleuca is our vertical supply chain, which allows Team Members the opportunity to work with many parts of the business right away. Having such a broad space to work in has helped me greatly in my own career.”

Recognizing Milestones and Investing in Longevity

At Melaleuca, we recognize and reward hard work and loyalty. Since 2007, our Longevity Bonus Program has celebrated the dedication of our Team Members, adding up to more than $39 million in bonuses paid to date. These milestone bonuses are a testament to our culture of appreciation and long-term commitment.

The loyalty program rewards Melaleuca Team Members with substantial bonuses at key milestones:

  • 5 years: $5,000
  • 10 years: $10,000
  • 15 years: $15,000
  • 20 years: $33,000 (gross, $20,000 net)
  • 25 years: $25,000
  • 30 years: $30,000
  • 35 years: $35,000
  • 40 years: $40,000

“Longevity at Melaleuca truly means something,” said Melaleuca President Cole Clinger. “When we celebrate a Team Member’s 10th, 20th, or 30th year, it’s more than marking a date on the calendar. We’re honoring years of loyalty, innovation, dedication, and contribution that have shaped Melaleuca’s success. It’s the steady commitment of these outstanding individuals over time that keeps our company strong and moving forward.”

Watch: KIFI News 8 recently featured Melaleuca’s Longevity Bonus Program, which has paid more than $39 million to loyal Team Members since 2007.

Clinger’s words reflect Melaleuca’s culture is built on gratitude, recognizing that Team Member contributions support the company’s long-term growth.

Melaleuca’s commitment to its people continues to earn national recognition. Forbes has named Melaleuca one of America’s Best Employers and included it on America’s Best Employers for Women list. And the Idaho Business Review recently honored Melaleuca with its Empowering Women Award for Workplace Excellence.

Team Members Grow Melaleuca

When our Team Members grow, Melaleuca grows with them. This strong culture of internal advancements isn’t just good for personal careers; it’s part of a mission of enhancing lives. Melaleuca Team Members know their potential is valued.

“Our success stories aren’t exceptions,” says Clinger. “We’ve seen cooks become analysts, forklift drivers become scientists, and call center representatives rise to vice president positions. At Melaleuca, we invest in potential through training, development, and opportunity.”

Melaleuca’s culture continues to thrive because its people do. It’s a place where hard work leads to growth, loyalty is celebrated, and opportunity is always within reach. If you are curious about what a future with Melaleuca: The Wellness Company looks like, visit MelaleucaJobs.com.
