Frank VanderSloot, Riverbend Ranch Cowboys Bring American Ranching to Fox & Friends
Melaleuca Founder and Executive Chairman Frank VanderSloot appeared on Fox & Friends during Memorial Day weekend to introduce viewers across the country to Riverbend Ranch beef and to the cowboys and cowgirls who help make it possible.
A Six-Generation Angus Ranch
Joined by Riverbend Ranch Manager Rhett Jacobs and members of the ranch crew, Frank shared the story of Riverbend Ranch, a six-generation, family-owned Angus ranch that has spent 35 years developing some of the top Angus genetics in the country.
“Thirty-five years ago, we set out to create a beef that’s better than Wagyu,” Frank said during the segment. After 35 years and 20 generations of cattle, Riverbend Ranch introduced its beef to the American public about 11 months ago. “The response has been tremendous.”
Frank also explained what sets Riverbend Ranch beef apart. Riverbend Ranch has spent decades developing Angus genetics to deliver exceptional flavor, tenderness and quality. The beef is born, raised, grazed and processed in the United States, and the ranch’s vertically integrated approach helps it oversee quality from breeding and ranching to processing.
That attention to quality includes beef from pasture-raised cattle that are not treated with growth hormones or antibiotics. Riverbend Ranch also ages its beef for 21 days, a process that helps enhance tenderness and flavor.
A Memorable Moment With 6-Year-Old Kate Hall

The Memorial Day weekend segment, hosted by Fox & Friends co-host Rachel Campos-Duffy, came just in time for grilling season. Riverbend Ranch showcased a mouth-watering spread of premium cuts, including ribeye, filet mignon and New York strip steaks, giving viewers plenty of inspiration for the holiday weekend.
One of the most memorable moments came when Campos-Duffy visited with 6-year-old cowgirl Kate Hall.
“What’s it like living on the ranch?” Campos-Duffy asked.
“It is awesome,” Kate replied.
When asked what she does there, Kate gave an answer that captured the simple charm of ranch life: “I train my dog and ranch.”
“Sounds like a nice life,” Campos-Duffy said.
Supporting American Ranching Families

For Frank, the appearance was about more than great beef. It was an opportunity to spotlight the families, values and way of life behind American ranching.
“We believe that it’s important to support the American ranchers in America,” Frank said. “The kids grow up there on the ranch and learn personal responsibility at an early age, and we think it is something that we need to support.”
Frank explained that Riverbend Ranch’s impact extends well beyond its own ranch team. When customers purchase beef from Riverbend Ranch, they help support not only the 35 families on the ranch but also over 200 other ranching families that use Riverbend Ranch genetics to raise cattle.
“These people supply food for America,” Frank said.
One of the Best Steaks She Had Ever Tasted
After sampling the steak on air, Campos-Duffy praised the beef and the people behind it, telling the Riverbend Ranch crew they were helping keep America well fed. She also called the steak one of the best she had ever tasted.
For the Riverbend Ranch crew, the trip was memorable in another way. Several of the cowboys and cowgirls had never been to New York City before.
Their national television appearance gave viewers a closer look at Riverbend Ranch’s mission: raising exceptional beef while supporting the hardworking ranching families who help feed America.
